Stopped here on our way out from Peggy's Cove for some takeout lunch. Had to try the famous lobster roll to start off our lobster tour on the East coast. Had the stuffed! lobster roll with the butter and chips on the side. Great tasting food and friendly service.
The view? Amazing. The service? Fast and friendly. The food? Superb! HIGHLY recommend! We each got "The Shaw's" which is a hot lobster roll, with a bowl of chowder. It was really good, but we both ended up wishing we'd gone for the cold one (maybe we will next time)! But the chowder was next level yummy. We'd come back for sure!
Must-Stop Near Peggy’s Cove! Snow crab is hard to find, but Shaw Landing delivered—generous portions at a great price! The scallops were buttery and tender, the seafood chowder hearty and flavorful. Friendly service and a beautiful view make it even better. Less than 10 minutes from Peggy’s Cove—highly recommend!
This is the place you think of when thinking East Coast Fishing Village Restaurant. Sea food is ridicules and so good. Service was great lots of seating with the perfect atmosphere. its a must after walking Peggy's Cove.
This place was recommended to us by the owners of the cottage we were staying in and we're glad we listened. We shared the Mussels special which was one pound of Mussels and two glasses of wine for 23. We tried the Red Thai Curry and they were very good. We each had the 1.5 lb lobster special with a 14 oz beer and choice of side for 53. The lobster was cooked perfectly with plenty of garlic butter and was pre-cracked making it easy to get the meat out. My fries were very good and my wife's coleslaw was tasty. The beer was cold, the views awesome and the service excellent. We will definitely eat here again.
The lobster roll was delicious, just the right amount of sauce, letting the lobster shine. The mussels were decent, not amazing but still good. Tips: Check the specials board by the entrance, they often have great lobster deals! Be warned though, this place loves their fries (you’ll get a lot of them). The outdoor seating has a lovely vibe, with fresh air and a relaxed atmosphere. The servers were friendly, even if a little stretched thin during busy times.
We tried this on the advice of a friend and what a outstanding little gem Shaw's is. We ordered the Famous Chowder (a cup), Digby Scallops, Mussels (in white wine and garlic), Calamari, Pan-Seared Haddock and Lobster Grilled Cheese. To keep it brief.........Wow, you can't go wrong with any of these! Everything was so fresh so flavorful combined with the perfect ingredients that produced outstanding results.....and the pic's don't do it justice. Do yourself a favor and take a trip down Prospect Rd. Thanks to our hardworking, friendly staff, great job Shaw's
I had my first ever full lobster here and it was absolutely amazing!! Highly recommend. Courtney was an amazing host who showed me patiently how to deconstruct the lobster!!
